We all want a perfect bright smile, but not everyone can afford to go to the teeth whitening dentist to have their teeth regularly whitened.
Here at Ashton Avenue Dental Practice, we can’t wait to share with you our top 10 super most effective ways to whiten and brighten your teeth naturally at home without causing any damage to your teeth and enamel.
1. Toothpaste, salt, baking soda, and lemon juice
Mix half a teaspoon of baking soda with half a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Brush your teeth and leave the mixture for about a minute before rinsing thoroughly. You’ll see the difference after just one use. Use this way once every two months.

2. A strawberry
Take a ripe strawberry, and mash it up with a spoon. Add a half a teaspoon of baking soda and mix. Brush your teeth with this “paste” for a few minutes to get rid of yellow stains.
3. Apple cider vinegar and water
Dilute half a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. Swish and rinse your mouth out with this solution every morning before brushing your teeth.
4. Lemon juice and water
Mix some fresh lemon juice in a glass of water. Use this mixture to swish around for a minute or two in your mouth. Wash your mouth and teeth completely with water before brushing your teeth.
5. Sea salt, lemon juice, and toothpaste
Mix half a teaspoon of sea salt and some freshly squeezed lemon juice with a small amount of toothpaste in a bowl. Apply the mixture to your teeth, and leave it on for one minute before rinsing your mouth thoroughly.
6. Baking soda and lemon juice
Mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for one minute, then rinse, to avoid the acid affecting enamel.
7. Hydrogen peroxide and salt
Before using hydrogen peroxide, make sure that your teeth are not too sensitive. If everything is fine, Mix the two ingredients and rub this paste against your teeth with either a toothbrush or your fingertip. Rub gently for 1-2 minutes and then rinse your mouth.
8. Baking soda and salt
Put a pinch of baking soda on your toothbrush, and add a pinch of salt over it to get a set of shining teeth. Remember not to use this teeth whitening way more frequently than once a week.
9. Powdered milk and toothpaste
Put some toothpaste on your toothbrush, include a touch of powdered milk over it, and brush your teeth.
10. Activated charcoal
Crush up one charcoal tablet into a powder. Dip your clean wet toothbrush into it, and brush your teeth as you normally do. Afterwards, rinse with water and brush with some toothpaste to get rid of any charcoal residue.
Warning: Do not use all these ways at the same time and don’t resort to home whitening if you have problems with your teeth. Some of these ways cannot be used every day or it will cause damage to your teeth and enamel.
